Neda Gioia, OD, CNS®, IFMCP, FOWNS, is the founder of Integrative Vision and the creator of the SEEHealth™ functional nutrition program. A seasoned optometrist, Dr. Gioia is nationally recognized for her innovative work at the intersection of traditional eye care and functional nutrition and medicine. In doing so, she provides comprehensive optometric services, including routine eye exams, while also offering patients an expanded model of care that explores how nutrition, lifestyle, and overall health impact vision and wellbeing (See EyeExamPlus and SEEHealth to learn more.)

Dr. Gioia is the only optometrist in the U.S. with a board-certification in nutrition (through the American Nutrition Association or ANA) and certification in functional medicine (through the Institute for Functional Medicine or IFM). These credentials are the recognized gold standard in these fields. She has also received her fellowship through the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society (FOWNS).

A passionate educator and thought leader, Dr. Gioia regularly lectures at national conferences and seminars and has developed continuing education courses for eye care professionals. She is also a frequently invited guest on podcasts and contributor to both professional journals and consumer media (See In the Press for more details). In addition to her clinical and educational endeavors, she also participates in major research initiatives and industry collaborations with leading vision care companies, such as Bausch + Lomb.

Dr. Gioia currently serves on the board of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP), where she helps shape the future of optometric care. She is also a board member for the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society (FOWNS), where she also served as the immediate past president and executive director. Additionally, she previously served on the board of Women in Optometry and was awarded their Theia Award for innovation.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry.

Based in New Jersey, Dr. Gioia lives with her husband, two daughters, and dog. Outside the office, she enjoys travel, hiking, music, and spending quality time with family in Vermont. She believes in living fully, with gratitude and intention each day.
